On March 17th 2026, volunteer members of Aylus gathered at the Great Neck Station Library for their bi-weekly tutoring session. The evening was very productive; the tutors and tutees worked cohesively to make the most of the hour. A plethora of subjects were covered including math, science, and English. For instance, Brian Zhang helped a 7th grader with their biology homework. The pair discussed topics related to reproduction and evolution. Jason Zeng assisted his tutees with math, more specifically problems that included ratios. Furthermore, Linzi spent the hour guiding her student through the complex IXL problems. Summer Lu, too, helped her tutee prepare for an upcoming math assessment. Both pairs collaborated to complete several levels with accuracy and precision. Lastly, Junlin Yu helped bolster a fifth grader’s reading comprehension and analytical writing through repetitious practices. Overall the session was a major success thanks to the efforts of volunteers and students.
