Activity Description:
Volunteer coaches from the Gainesville AYLUS Branch organized and led the weekly Sunday Golf Coaching Class at Huagen Chinese School, a community education program held at Oak Hall School every Sunday afternoon. The program provides free golf instruction to both children and adults, welcoming participants of all skill levels.

Each session runs for one hour (3:30–4:30 PM) and focuses on teaching fundamental golf skills such as putting and chipping. Coaches begin with a brief safety introduction and basic warm-up, followed by demonstrations of proper grip, stance, and swing mechanics. Participants practice using training equipment, with coaches offering hands-on guidance and individualized feedback based on age and experience level.

Beyond technical instruction, the class emphasizes coordination, focus, patience, and sportsmanship. Volunteers strive to create a positive and encouraging learning environment, helping students build confidence while enjoying physical activity. It is rewarding to see participants improve their skills and develop an interest in golf through consistent practice and supportive coaching.
