11th Annual Joey’s Wings Volunteering
AYLUS Gainesville Branch — November 15th, 2025
The AYLUS Gainesville Branch participated at the 11th Annual Joey’s Wings 5K and Obstacle Run at
Santa Fe College as part of a community fundraising effort supporting pediatric cancer awareness
and research. Volunteers Daniel Wei, Eric Gao, Jessica Wu, Rachel Dai, Brayden Yang, and Winny
Wang each contributed several service hours.
During the event, volunteers helped set up the races and supported families and runners
throughout the morning. They assisted with organizing materials, distributing water and awards,
and cheering on runners. Some volunteers also participated in the 5K race. After the event,
volunteers helped to take down everything, clean up the area, and pick up trash left by participants.
By supporting an event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for pediatric cancer, AYLUS
volunteers demonstrated compassion and a strong commitment to community service, reflecting
AYLUS’s mission to uplift and serve local communities through meaningful volunteer work.
