This Sunday, November 16th 2025, Great Neck’s ALYUS Branch visited Kings Point Park on the northern side of the peninsula to help out with park maintenance! From 12:30-2:30pm, ALYUS cleared a majority of the paths and made them more accessible to parkgoers and staff alike. Armed with rakes, shovels, and shears, members worked to clear the walking paths of the freshly fallen leaves. For 2 hours, members moved down the paths, pushing and sweeping leaves, clearing a large chunk of the 5 miles worth of trails in the park. Members also helped to pick up trash and remove debris from the paths – helping keep the local environment clean.
The dozens of members present dedicated their effort and time towards supporting the community and becoming their own little leaders. Members worked together, building camaraderie and teamwork skills–becoming their own little leaders as they worked to clean the park for others
