Reported by Eric Huang
On Oct.26th, 2025, AYLUS Lake Washington Branch members Eric Huang, Kevin Chen, Jiayi Zhu, Wenjie Yan, Emily Qi, Xingchen Song, Anthony Cao, Kerui Xu, and Rachel Ren joined the Sammamish Stewards to help pack Pacific Northwest wildflower seeds in preparation for Earth Day. These plants and flowers play a vital role in supporting local ecosystems by feeding insects and birds, and contribute to the Sammamish Bee City initiative and Wildlife Habitat efforts. Fall is an ideal time to scatter wildflower seeds due to its cooler temperatures and consistent moisture, which promote healthy germination. The volunteer event took place at the Sammamish Library from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. While giving back to the community, our members also gained valuable knowledge about native wildflowers and plants.
