On September 13th, AYLUS Syosset members on the behalf of CCE Nassau came to the Long Island Fair to help out. We started off the morning by going over the different exhibits that visitors could explore as they made their way around the fair. While there were different shows going on including Tanzanian acrobats as well as the circus, little ones could come into the barn for various farm related activities. This included milking a cow (with cheese samples available!), building and sorting out a life sized nutrition plate, checking out the different chickens, making your very own plant necklace, a shell scavenger hunt, and more. Volunteers assisted with the different crafts that were set out for the children that needed help with cutting and gluing. The lively atmosphere paired with the beautiful weather ended in a perfect day for all.
