Reported by Eric Huang
On October 5, AYLUS Lake Washington Branch members Eric, Jerry, Elissa, Kevin, Yufei, Jiayi, Kerui and Xingchen volunteered at the Little Masters Bike-a-Thon and contributing to a wide range of event-related tasks. Their responsibilities included setting up tables, flags, and banners; checking attendees in and out; distributing water and snacks to bikers; and offering assistance to those in need. Volunteers also ensured that participants completed safety training, helped with name tags, directed attendees to key locations, and managed traffic flow.
From 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Eric, Jerry, Elissa, Kevin, and Yufei operated the 5-mile checkpoint station. Simultaneously, Jiayi, Kerry, and Xingchen operated the 20-mile checkpoint station from 8:00am to 1:30 PM.
Our members agreed that this experience was educational and helped them develop their communication and teamwork skills. The Little Masters Bike-a-Thon provided an opportunity for people of all ages to come together.
