AYLUS Lake Washington Branch Volunteered at the Restoration Event at Evans Creek Preserve in Sammamish on September 13, 2025(#81)

Habitat Restoration Project

Lake Washington Branch

On September 13, 2025, our team members Tristan Edwar and Constantine Ermolenko volunteered at the Restoration Event at Evans Creek Preserve in Sammamish from 11:00am to 2:00pm. During the three hour-long event, our members worked hard to remove blackberries and prepare land for
habitat restoration.

As our members attended this event, we met other people from our community and utilized our social and 21st century skills to collaborate with them. We utilized our knowledge of tools and physical labor to complete tasks. Everyone demonstrated amazing enthusiasm, acknowledging this event as an educational and fun activity. It has provided us a great opportunity to learn more about our surrounding environment and contribute towards the greater Sammamish community.

Our branch members volunteered from 11:00am to 2:00pm, contributing a total of 6  volunteer hours:

Tristan Edwar: 3 hours

Constantine Ermolenko: 3 hours
