AYLUS Great Neck Branch Tutoring at Station Library 54th (9/11/25)

On September 11th, 2025, volunteer members of Aylus gathered at the Great Neck Station Library for their bi-weekly tutoring session. The evening was a success thanks to the hard work of the tutees and tutors. As a result, a wide array of subjects were covered–including mathematics, history, and English. For instance, members helped students to master division involving decimals. Through thorough explanations and repeated practice problems, the tutees gained a deep understanding of the task. Tutors also helped students understand the early periods of American history. Key moments, such as the revolt sparked by Britain’s taxation, were broken down and analyzed to ensure a full comprehension. To finish the session, younger students learned how to write polite emails, a vital life skill. Overall, the session was a major success thanks to the efforts of volunteers and students.
