African Library Project (ALP) is an international network of partners, volunteers, and community supporters, book drives are transformed into sustainable libraries. Volunteers in North America organize book drives by rallying their communities to collect gently used children’s books and raise funds for shipping. AYLUS Morrisville Branch launched our first African Library Project (ALP) this summer. Our enthusiastic volunteers organized book drives to collect books. We hope these books will help underserved schools and communities in need of books.
On September 7th 2025, our branch members sorted and packed 13 boxes of 1004 books. These books will be shipped out to Uganda soon. The name of our donated library is Amokoge Primary School Library (open to community). We hope to continue to contribute to the African Library Project.
