On August 3rd, 2025, two RCA members visited a senior home to host a Bingo session. Since it was a Sunday, attendance was smaller than usual, but the group still enjoyed several lively rounds together. During the event, one resident fondly shared that she had once volunteered as the “Boy Scout Knot Lady,” teaching scouts how to tie knots. Inspired by her story, the advisor later gathered supplies so she could demonstrate knot-tying to the members, bringing her joy and a sense of purpose. The RCA members also stayed to chat with residents, keeping the conversations flowing and the seniors engaged. RCA members enjoy volunteering at senior homes, whether by giving concerts, hosting Bingo, or playing other games. These are meaningful moments where both generations can share, connect, and learn from one another.
