On Sunday, August 17th, 2025, the Carol Woods Retirement Community in Chapel Hill hosted a live music event, featuring volunteers from the Chapel Hill AYLUS branch. The group — consisting of 1 violinist and four pianists — performed a program of classical pieces for the residents.
The recital was well-received, with audience members showing their appreciation through smiles and applause. It offered an opportunity for residents to enjoy live music in a relaxed and familiar setting.
We’re pleased to share that this initiative will continue, with the next performance scheduled for the third Sunday in September.
Volunteers who participated in this event were Eric Sun (1.5 hours), April Zhang (1.5 hours), Lucas Zhang (1.5 hours), Alwin Liu (1.5 hours) and Alissa Liu (1.5 hours).
