On August 23rd, 2025, Frisco & Plano Branch AYLUS volunteers partnered with Feed My Starving Children to pack meals for various countries. As volunteers entered the building, they were each given hairnets before listening to a short presentation by the FMSC staff on instructions for the packing process. Volunteers were then separated into packing, warehouse, and labeling divisions, with the packing group being split into several smaller teams. Before entering the packing area, volunteers made sure to wash their hands and practice appropriate hygiene to maintain food-safe standards. During this session, volunteers combined various amounts of vitamins, vegetables, soy, and rice to create a ‘MannaPack’ meal to meet the daily nutritional needs of malnourished children. Throughout the session, volunteers at each packing table participated in fun competitions to make the process more enjoyable. At the end of the night’s session, volunteers swept and cleaned the entire area and had an optional prayer over the packed food. In total AYLUS volunteers helped to pack enough meals to feed 67 children for an entire year. Thank you to all the volunteers who participated in this session!
