On August 15 2025, members of AYLUS Greater Buffalo Branch used money raised and received from donation during the Asian Food & Culture Festival to buy school supplies for local refugee children. Charity sales during the festival included face painting, balloon twisting, bounce house activity, and other activities. Volunteers purchased $229.79 worth of school supplies. This included backpacks, pencil pouches, pens, pencils, erasers, and glue sticks to combine into 30 sets for donation to Journey’s End local refugee children! Volunteers spent their time buying and packaging the supplies. Other volunteers will bring the donations to our partner Journey’s End next Friday!
