On August 23 2025, a member of AYLUS, Xiyu Xu, promoted AYLUS’s “Environmental Protection” program during the back-to-school kick-off event at the community Chinese school. He and other volunteers distributed storage bags labeled for sorted recycling at the event. They introduced the project to families and youth, gathered feedback, and recruited participants on-site to support the initiative. That day, volunteers sorted and collected three bags of aluminum cans and bottles! The event lasted from 12:40 PM to 5:10 PM.
