On Monday, July 8th, Syosset AYLUS members visited Sangha learning center for the first time. Sangha is a non-profit organization that provides a place where individuals with high functioning ADHD, autism, and OCD can come together and decompress. During the summer, Sangha offers a 4 week program filled with different events. Today, we started off the morning by two art teachers from the Spirit of Huntington Art Center to visit. Everyone worked on water coloring pieces inspired by Claude Monet. After lunch, Sangha invited a music teacher that brought a variety of instruments that everyone picked out and played. Through music, we were all able to create a unique impromptu piece together. We finished off the day by visiting the garden to plan for projects to come.
