On July 6th, volunteers from the Syosset branch of AYLUS visited CP Nassau’s Bayville location for a fun and engaging afternoon with the residents. We started off with a giant soccer, where we used our hands to throw the ball at the target. After that, we did bowling, which everyone had so much fun participating in. Next, we played hangman, everyone worked together to guess letters in hope of getting the word right. Then that was followed by pictionary, where residents and volunteers teamed up to guess drawings on the board. Finally we finished up the day with a game of jeopardy, testing everyone’s knowledge in a fun and interactive way.
The visit was filled with joy, connection, and lots of smiles. It was another meaningful experience where volunteers were able to engage with the residents and help create a positive and inclusive environment.
