On July 4th, AYLUS Syosset went to Jones Beach in partnership with other AYLUS branches and of course, Michael DiMaulo. Going to the beach is a popular event for many Americans to celebrate Independence day, and watch the fireworks. Unfortunately, this aso attracts a lot of visitors to enter closed off areas where PIping Plovers, an endangered species, nest. Volunteers came together to grab flashlights and vests to guide people to the right spot on the beach in case they do enter. Meanwhile, everyone had a great time and enjoyed the fireworks at night!
