AYLUS Syosset Volunteers at Eisenhower Park Farmer’s Market 6/28/25

On June 28th, members of Syosset AYLUS came to the second opening of the CCE Nassau Farmers Market. The market was open to the public at 9:00AM but volunteers arrived at Eisenhower Park Field 8 at 8:00AM to help set up the tents as well as to help other vendors set up. There were three shifts set up with people allowed during each shift; 8-11AM, 9AM-1PM, and 11PM-1:45 PM. All sorts of vendors came with a variety of goods to sell including flowers, jams, and other fresh produce.
Throughout the event, there were three members at the front tent constantly marking down every person that arrived which resulted in a final visitor count at the end. There was also a tent in the middle of the field for kids. The tent had various activities for the kids who came such as taking CCE themed photos, coloring sheets, and drawing with provided supplies. Other volunteers who did not have a designated station walked around the market helping shoppers with their bags, giving general information about the market and directing people to the Taste New York vendor in the building on the other side of the parking lot.
