Event description: From 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 PM PDT on Friday, May 2nd, members of the Saratoga AYLUS branch volunteered with the organization Feed My Starving Children at their annual San Jose location. With values relating to helping children suffering from malnutrition and hunger issues, members worked with the organization and packed dozens of MannaPack® meals. With volunteers from other independent groups, the session of volunteers packed nearly 200 boxes of 36 packs, enough food to feed just over a hundred children who need it.

“Every year, millions of children die from preventable causes such as pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria and undernutrition. Hunger is still causing nearly half of deaths in children under 5 years old. From this data, we estimate at least 6,200 children die each day from causes related to undernutrition. This is heartbreaking.
