On October 20, 2024, AYLUS Great Neck participated in volunteer activities at the farmers market in Firefighter’s Park. For the event, we set up a table to raise funds for CP Nassau, with volunteers contributing from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Some volunteers arrived early to prepare the display, arranging handcrafted items—bracelets, Lego creations, crocheted pieces, andpaper flowers—made by our members to make the booth welcoming. New items included custom bracelets, free books, and temporary tattoos. We also set up a Lego table that attracted children, providing an opportunity for volunteers to engage with families and share information about AYLUS. Although the event had a slow start, our volunteers successfully promoted and sold our products, shared details about AYLUS’s mission, and ultimately achieved our fundraising goal while spreading awareness.
