Frisco & Plano Branch Loops for Love Crocheting for Cancer Patients and Fundraising on September 29nd, 2024

Report by Tanya Fu      Posted by Mateen Benarieb

On September 29, 2024, 7 volunteers gathered together from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM to crochet small amigurumi items. During this event, half of our volunteers created a pumpkin, while the other half crocheted a floaty ghost to celebrate Halloween! We saw a lot of success in creating these amigurumi, and some of our volunteers were able to fully complete–pumpkins and ghosts. These crochet items are to be gifted to the cancer patients at children’s hospitals, along with hats our volunteers also make, or to be sold in the flea market to raise funds for donations. Great work from our volunteers, and we hope to see them at the next group meeting as well!
