On September 7th, we once again volunteered at Russell Creek park to fundraise for Loops for Love, a project set on giving hats those who went through chemotherapy treatment for cancer. Many volunteers arrived and worked together in our usual groups, with some working on the shaved ice, while some did the boba tea, and others did the cotton candy. Additionally, there was also bedding materials on sale! To get the word of our shop out to others, we created 2 advertising teams to advertise either near the lake or on the playground and around the basketball/volleyball courts. The opportunity of paying via credit card, apple pay, and Zelle greatly increased customers, since many people didn’t have cash on hand. This meant more people were able to get cotton candy/shaved ice/etc! Through the new addition of more pay options alone, we were able to raise over 170 dollars!
