On 7/30/2024 and 8/1/2024, AYLUS Great Neck hosted two more tutoring sessions for students in the Great Neck Library Station Branch.
On 7/30, AYLUS Great Neck Branch hosted a tutoring session that lasted one and a half hours. Zhaoxi Chen and Yuhao (Henry) Xu had discussions with three middle school students to improve their English communication skills. Everyone seemed engaged in the conversation. It was overall a very productive and cooperative session.
On 8/01/2024 AYLUS Great Neck Branch had another session on tutoring in the station library. Zhaoxi Chen, Kylie Lam and three middle school students were present. Topics of discussion included math, school life and the Imposter Game. The kids read books on Harry Potter and shared the content with AYLUS members. All those involved enjoyed the informative and relaxed ambience.
Both sessions ran for about one and a half hour, after which the volunteers said their goodbyes and left.
