AYLUS volunteers worked at the Sunrise Senior Living Center and also participated in restoration projects at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. These activities fall within our “Give a Hand” initiative which includes various community outreach activities. In the senior center, students interacted and kept the seniors company through playing games such as Bingo or Go fish and talked to them.
For the restoration days, students participated in the CNC Habitat Restoration day in which they helped clean up the park for future visitors to enjoy. In addition they identified and removed invasive species detrimental to the native plants of Georgia
