AYLUS Rancho Cucamonga Branch Volunteers at TOYOTA ARENA on 12/28/2023
On December 28, 2023, five volunteers from AYLUS RC Branch participated in the second fundraising event for the Building Bright Futures children’s program. This ongoing series of events takes place at our local TOYOTA ARENA, coinciding with the Empire Stryker’s Ball Toss event season. Each time there’s a game, we set up kickball and ball-selling activities at the entrance to raise funds for children’s development, promoting their academic and personal success.
Divided into two groups for the day, one group coordinated the kickball activity, managing everything from ticket sales to ball retrieval. Since many families bring their children to watch the games, this game is always a hit. The other group handled the ball-selling activity, carefully packaging bags of balls with varying quantities and prices. Both activities were well-received, and before we knew it, four hours had flown by.
We managed to raise over $300 in sales this time, and the excitement was palpable. It’s truly exhilarating to see such a good sales figure through our own efforts, knowing that we’re making a difference in the lives of children in need!
The volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to this cause were Yixuan Yuan; Jingning Wu; Bryan Wang; Ryan Wang; James Yang. Each volunteer contributed 4 hours.
