On Saturday, September 30, Murrieta AYLUS members conducted a park cleanup at Meadows Park.
As the rain stopped falling, the volunteers arrived on the damp sidewalk. The parking lot only had a few stray pieces of trash, however the playground area saw a few larger pieces of candy wrappers and some lollipop sticks, alongside smaller pieces of plastic and some plastic cups. They rounded the pathway to the back area, finding even more pieces of trash and dreaded confetti. After cleaning the bits of gold plastics, they rounded out the rest of the park and even found pieces of bread laying under a tree. Filling their bags, they then threw them in the trash.
