AYLUS Manhasset members volunteered to clean up the environment by preforming usual tasks of collecting dead branches, as well as helping to pick weeds/other requirements. We organized the event from 1:30 until 7:30 PM. After collecting branches in order to burn, we checked the composting bins but unfortunately they were not yet ready. After the weeding, we were able to collect some of the plants for the elderly couple who allowed us to work in their backyard. Our volunteer work was able to give back to those who already invested into our community.
Members who participated: Eva Westbay (6 hours), Matthew Yang (6 hours, plus 0.5 hours for writing post), and Sophia Liu from AYLUS Syosset Branch (6 hours).
