San Diego Branch Hosted 26th Digital Art Workshop on Oct. 14th, 2023

On Oct. 14th, San Diego students of Aylus hosted its 26th digital art workshop. This workshop aims to foster the talents and interests of 5-9th grade students interested in digital art and provide a platform for them to share their creativity with the community. Another goal of this workshop is to raise funds for the Libraries of Love, a project to build libraries for K-8 kids in Africa and provide books to them.
We plan to host the workshop every Saturday and have volunteers/teaching assistants to aid students. Through this activity, AYLUS volunteers are able to teach students a wide range of digital art skills and provide technical support, starting from beginner knowledge to more advanced techniques.

Today we continue our new comic workshop, but with a special guest!

We have brought Alice Yang, an art teacher, to guide us through traditional Chinese garments. The students learned how women’s and men’s traditional clothing evolved and changed through each subsequent dynasty and many other aspects of Chinese traditional attire! In the end, everyone participated in a fun mix/match activity as well.

The following volunteers participated and 4 students joined the class.

Kevin Kan for 4.0 volunteering hours.

Lauren Kan for 2.0 volunteering hours.

Max Yang for 2.0 volunteering hours.
