In June, the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) announced the sixth lecture of our Data Science Lecture Series, taking place on Monday, June 6th from 4:00-5:00 pm ET over Zoom.
GPA had the pleasure of inviting Dr. Wei Vivian Li, a professor of biostatistics at Rutgers University. She talked about data science in genomic studies, in her lecture “Data Science Questions and Methods in Genomic Studies – Part 2,” before answering questions in a Q&A session.

The GPA host was Catherine Feng, and the guest speaker was Dr Wei Vivian Li.. Catherine Feng worked on contacting speakers and advisors (1 hour, 5/29), making flyers (2 hours, 5/29), creating and sending out registration and follow-up form (1 hour, 5/30), updating website (1.5 hours, 5/31), contacting Sponsors (1 hour, 5/31), setting up Zoom meeting and sending out meeting invitations (1.5 hours, 6/5), and hosting the meeting (1.5 hours, 6/6).
GPA members Allison Zhou (6/6, 2 hrs), Brendon Zhou (6/6, 2 hrs), Judy Zhang (6/6, 2 hrs), Julia Zhang (6/6, 2 hrs), Oliver Cai (6/6, 2 hr), Beatrice Cai (6/6, 2 hrs) promoted AYLUS youth volunteerism among their friends, recruiting new memberships for AYLUS.
