Greater Princeton AYLUS Promotes Youth Volunteerism while Providing In-Person Education Help (86th) in March 2022

In March, the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) students promoted youth volunteerism while continuing their In-Person Education Help Program as there are students who still look for tutoring classes to improve their academic skills in classes like math, science, writing or reading.

GPA members continued tutoring. In this week’s tutoring session, Catherine Feng tutored a student in reading on Sunday (3/6) from 3:00 – 4:30 pm: The student read a few picture books, including one about the Cat in the Hat, and we then discussed the content and message of the books. Catherine tutored another student in reading on Sunday (3/6) from 4:30 – 5:30 pm: The student and I read some picture books together online, and we read about a child who could shrink to a tiny size. We then discussed the content and message of the book.

GPA member Victor Yu (3/18, 2 hrs) promoted AYLUS youth volunteerism and introduced two new memberships. The program allows GPA members to provide reading, writing, speaking, communication, and more to their students in need of help.
