AYLUS Scottsdale goes to FMSC to help package food (Part 2) – July 17th 2021

On July 17th, 2021, AYLUS Scottsdale leadership and members participated in an FMSC (Feed My Starving Children) event that is designed to help children and families around the world receive adequate food (in this session, to the children and familes of the Dominican Republic). This event allowed AYLUS Scottsdale members to participate in packaging rice, soy, vitamins, and soy into the MannaPack, and storing 28 MannaPack’s into a box to help children around the Dominican Republic recover from malnutrion. In total, AYLUS Scottsdale and others at the event helped package and store:
1. 107 boxes of MannaPack = 3852 bags = 23,112 meals packed
2. 63 kids from the dominican republic fed for a year

3. With the amount of money costed to make the MannaPack and items available, a total of $5,546.88.

The members that particpated in this event are: Andrew Yang (3 hrs), Shaw Hu (3 hrs), SriVarun Vungutur (3 hrs), Laura Wang (3 hrs), Leona Wang(3 hrs).
