The Gladstone Branch Writes Cards to Hospitalized Children

Being in the hospital for long periods of time is especially hard on children. Hospitalized kids are typically confined to the hospital building, so they sometimes feel isolated, separated from the rest of the world. However, they don’t have to feel that way. Even the smallest acts of kindness, such as donating money or reading stories to them, can make these kids’ day. Knowing that there are strangers who care about them make these children feel great about themselves. They know they are not alone and that others are supporting them.

Members of the Gladstone Branch (Travis Xue, Jenny Xu, Angela Xu, Duc Nguyen, and Ben Chee, Castor Yuan) united in their effort to uplift these children’s spirits by making cards to send to hospitalized children. It feels great knowing that someone somewhere is smiling because of our cards!
