Greater Princeton AYLUS Continues Math Tutoring for Kids (67th) in May 2021

In May 2021, student members of the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) teamed up and continued teaching kids in the subjects of math.

GPA members Karen Yang (5/9, 2 hrs) and Kevin Song (5/9, 3 hrs): This week we continued our Algebra content! First, we answered a warm up question and then began with a problem on cubes. Students then started working conversion problems, including “chaining conversion” factor problems. Students went in depth with these factors and did a lot of problems individually and together, including many engaging word problems! Next, we played a virtual game from Gimkit and we introduced homework. We’ll be having class next week!

GPA member Annie Miao (5/9, 2 hrs): This time, Annie gave her tutee more practice with like terms and when they should and shouldn’t be combined. They also went over the rules of exponents with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
