Greater Princeton AYLUS First Responders Save a Life (37th) in May 2021

In May, volunteers of the Greater Princeton branch of AYLUS Melanie Chen (5/2, 8 hrs; 5/3, 4 hrs) and others continued an Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) training session in a hospital, scheduled from March to July 2021.

EMTs provide out-of-hospital emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical services (EMS) system. EMTs have the basic knowledge and skills necessary to stabilize and safely transport patients ranging from non-emergency and routine medical transports to life-threatening emergencies.

EMTs function as part of a comprehensive EMS response system, under medical oversight. They perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance as a critical link between the scene of an emergency and the health care system.

GPA Save A Life Committee is to continue serving our communities with life-saving focused projects.
