Greater Princeton AYLUS Continues Math Tutoring for Kids (58th) in March 202

In March 2021, student members of the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) teamed up and continued teaching kids in the subjects of math.

GPA members Karen Yang (3/7, 2 hrs), Kevin Song (3/7, 2 hrs), Kathy Yang (3/7, 2 hrs): This week we continued our Algebra content! First, we gave the kids a warm up review of solving and plugging in equations. Next, we started our lesson with some systems of equations, using both the “substitution” strategy and the elimination strategy. We also emphasized avoiding fractions. Then we did some more practice with clearing systems of equations with the previous strategies and went over the correct answers. Next, we played a Gimkit. Finally, we introduced homework and we’ll be having class next Sunday!

GPA member Annie Miao (3/7, 2 hrs): This week, Annie gave a review of all the forms of lines we’ve learned so far and continued talking about point-slope form.

GPA member Annabelle Huang (3/7, 2 hrs): This week, Annabelle continued tutoring my student math for PSAT.
