Greater Princeton AYLUS Continues Math Tutoring for Kids (52nd) in January 2021

In January 2021, student members of the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) teamed up and continued teaching kids in the subjects of math. 

GPA members Karen Yang (1/24, 2 hrs) Kevin Song (1/24, 2 hrs), Kathy Yang (1/24, 2 hrs) continued Algebra content! First, they gave the kids a check in question. After, they started their lesson of distribution with expressions and gave students some practice! Also did some subtracting expressions problems and factoring problems, with students trying problems after each new technique was explained. Next, they did a “Magic Trick” with factoring and simplifying an equation. Finally, they introduced homework and a Gimkit review game on the content of today. 

GPA member Annie Miao (1/24, 2 hrs): This week, Annie and her tutee continued discussing solving equations and isolating x on one side. This time, Annie introduced her tutee to equations with multiple variables and solving for y in terms of x or solving for x in terms of y.

GPA member Annabelle Huang also continued teaching her students in Edison on PSAT for math.
