Greater Princeton AYLUS Continued Bilingual Tutoring Program (21st) First Weekend of November 2020

The Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) students continue their Bilingual Tutoring Program in November. The program allows GPA members to provide English/Chinese reading, writing, speaking, math, and communication to their students across the country.

They had conversations over various video calling platforms, such as Zoom or Facetime, with students about topics they are interested in, such as movies, games, and school. Their bilingual tutoring activities included:

GPA members Catherine Feng organized tutoring program (11/7, 2 hrs) and taught her student Brandon English and Math for 1 hour on Saturday, 11/7, from 4:30 – 5:30 pm, and for 1 and a half hours on Sunday, 11/8, from 4:30 – 6:00 pm.
Ryan Tian taught his student Aishia Chinese for half an hour on Monday, 11/9, from 7:00-7:30 pm. He also tutored for 2 hours on Friday, 11/6, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm, teaching two kids English and Math. He tutored two different kids on Sunday, 11/8, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, on Math and English.
Elizabeth Jia prepared her lesson and taught her students English through reading comprehension for two hours on Saturday, 11/7.
Ruofei Olivia Mao taught her student Summer English through reading for an hour on Saturday, 11/7, from 1:10-2:10 pm.
Siquan Qiu taught her student English through reading comprehension for 15 minutes on Friday, 11/13, from 9:50-11:05 pm.

Daniel He tutored his student Daniel Feng for 1 hour on Tuesday, 11/3, from 7 to 8 pm CDT, and for 1 hour on Sunday, 11/8, from 4:15-5:15 CDT.

Abigail Bao (11/6, 2 hrs; 11/8, 2 hrs) and Ruofei Olivia Mao (11/6, 2 hrs) taught their students in the subjects of English reading and writing, focusing on story-telling.

Dawson Lin (11/7, 2 hrs) taught SAT Math and English on reading & writing.

Annabelle Huang (11/8, 1 hr) tutored a middle school student from her township on PSAT prep.

Allen Zhang taught English to a student in New York for 3 hours on 11/8.
