Birmingham Branch Serves Food to Homeless at Firehouse Shelter

On December 19, 2019, the AYLUS Birmingham Branch volunteered at the Firehouse Ministries Homeless Shelter in Birmingham. After preparing food and drinks at the shelter, they served it to the homeless and needy. Through this experience, some of the volunteers were able to talk to the homeless and understand poverty in downtown Birmingham a bit better. It was surprising to the volunteers how many people were in poverty. Being able to volunteer was a great experience and the Birmingham Branch plans on doing it again.

Thank you to our volunteers for this event: Albert, Alex, Brian, Daniel Y, Drakeson, Dylan, Eric, James, Matthew, Peter, Pranav, Shrijith, Titus, and William.
