Greater Princeton AYLUS Promotes Cultural Exchange with Newspapers (38th) on December 18, 2019

On December 18, 2019, the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) promotes Cultural Exchange with newspapers. GPA members authored articles, while editors made layouts and art illustrations for newspapers. 

The 38th Issue of Junior Reporter Times offers 9 pages of interesting articles on a variety of topics written by over 20 Junior Reporters. Acting as the New Jersey’s District Editor, Elizabeth Yunjue Li spent 2 hours to collect and edit articles for the current issue. In addition, Elizabeth Yunjue Li spent 3 hours and authored an article on page A3 about her visit to Toronto during the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. 

Many articles published were talking about the recent Thanksgiving weekend. Junior reporter Tiffany Tian spent 3 hours to tell the readers what she thinks of her brother, Angelina Yingying Liu spent 3 hours to share her Thanksgiving experience while having a dinner party at her friend’s house, both on page A2. Angela Li spent 3 hours to let us know why a puppy became one of her family members recently. Art Editor Caroline Shen spent 2 hours to create attractive layouts of two pages A5, Catherine Feng spent 2 hours on page A7, while Jessamine Qu spent 2 hours on page A9.

Cassie Tammy Wang wrote an article for three newspapers: World Journal, Global Chinese Times, and Chinese News Weekly, reporting the successful fundraising concert in Princeton on December 14, 2019. GPA members raised and donated $5000 to Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad for its Cadet Program, so it could train more volunteer Emergency Medical Technicians.
