Reported by Cassie Tammy Wang

Greater Princeton AYLUS (GPA) “Earth Team”Volunteers, Joyce Li and Cassie Wang, worked at the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) on July 19, 2019, from 8 am to 5 pm (9 hours).

GPA Earth Team Volunteers worked on updating Landowner and Tax record data, organizing files and photographs, binding outreach materials, moving tools and materials needed to send to local offices etc.

Barbara Philips, the Public Affairs Specialist of the NJ NRCS, has been the supervisor of the GPA Earth Team Volunteers and showed them the know-hows of the office. She is retiring at the end of July, so there are many things needed to be wrapped up. As a surprise and a farewell gift, Earth Team Volunteer Cassie Tammy Wang will be making a video for Barbara containing some photos of Barbara as well as some words from her coworkers.
