Greater Princeton AYLUS (GPA) highly promotes School Leadership among its members. GPA member Steven Chi has been actively volunteering and leading a student-facilitated Toastmasters club in West Windsor Plainsboro School District.

Toastmasters is a club in which members can practice their speaking skills. The toastmaster group works on giving introductory speeches, argumentative speeches, and impromptu speaking. The group also gives evaluations and advice and encourages everyone to speak longer.

On May 18th, 2019, Steven Chi spent an hour to work with the junior ToastMaster group. The speakers finished their hobby speeches and started the role model speeches. The teacher, Jim, gave another presentation about how to improve, this time on how to end a speech. Afterward, they watched a comical competition speech. They have really improved on their speeches and evaluations. They can even speak for a minute in their impromptu practice now. They will definitely be better speakers by the end of the session. Time: 2:15 pm to 3:15 pm (1 hour)
