Greater Princeton AYLUS Member Edward Cao Virtue-Tutored “Left-Behind” Children in Jiangxi, China

Reported by Cassie Tammy Wang

Greater Princeton AYLUS (GPA) member Edward Cao contributed his spare time by tutoring a class of children in need of help. Instead of being an one-on-one personal tutor, Edward did English teaching online for a class of elementary students in rural areas of Jiangxi Province, China, on Sunday night, starting at 7pm (1-2 hours per lesson).

Most of their students are considered “Left-Behind” children, whose parents have to be away from home to work in the urban areas. It is a great opportunity for our GPA members to contribute their English and Chinese bilingual skills and help such students speak fluent English as well as learn about the actual world.

Date and time Edward Cao served so far: December 9th, 2018 (2 hours); December 16th, 2018 (1 hour); December 23rd, 2018 (1 hour); January 6th, 2019 (1 hour); January 13th, 2019 (1 hour); February 24th, 2019 (1 hour); March 3rd, 2019 (1 hour); March 10th, 2019 (1 hour).

Congratulations to Edward Cao and other GPA members who have decided to join Edward in this Virtue-Tutoring Project!
