Greater Princeton AYLUS Junior Reporter Members Promoted Traditional Culture on March 6, 2019

Greater Princeton AYLUS (GPA) Junior Reporter members continued their “Culture Promotion” project on March 6th, 2019 by contributing 7 articles in Chinese with art illustrations to a newspaper “Junior Reporter Times”.

On page A1 of its March 6th, 2019 issue, GPA President Cassie Tammy Wang spent 3 hours to author an article, introducing Greater Princeton AYLUS to the readers, and how GPA members organized a fabulous Chinese Lunar New Year Party at the Merwick Care on February 3rd, 2019. In addition, as the Art Editor-In-Chief, Cassie took full responsibility in reviewing the layout of A1-A6, spending 6 hours to make sure the pages were typo-free and attractive to the readers.

On page A2 & A5, GPA member Ming Li spent 6 hours to author two articles, one was about a unique way to celebrate the Lunar New Year by planting flowers, and the other was about volunteering with the HomeFront charity organization on January 21st, 2019, the Martin Luther King’s Day.

On page A3, GPA member Elizabeth Yunjue Li spent 3 hours to author her article entitled “Taste of the New Year”, recalling her unforgettable experience of celebrating Chinese New Year with family and friends.

On page A4, GPA member Edward Cao spent 3 hours to author his article “Celebrating Chinese New Year in the United States”, sharing with the readers his story of celebrating Chinese New Year with American friends and teachers. GPA member Amy Lin also spent 3 hours to author her article telling people a few funny stories while she was learning Chinese.

On page A6, GPA member Sophia Chen, spent 3 hours to author an article “Fast Food in Spain”. Being an Art Editor, Sophia 4 hours to make layouts of pages A1 and A2. She also spent 2 hours to design an illustration for Amy Lin’s article on page A4.
