The Rule of East Cobb Branch of AYLUS

The mission of East Cobb Branch is to provide extracurricular opportunities for members to develop leadership skills, build characters, and provide service to schools and communities. We hope to improve our community and culture by advocating volunteering and implementing existing projects – musical performance, academic tutoring, after school assistance, help hands, etc.

The East Cobb Branch encourages students with the same belief to join in, together, we go further. Every member, every hour contribution, and every project steaming from our branch will no doubt make the world a better place, and we are ready to tackle any challenge and leave our footprints on the world.

Local leadership:

  • Local leadership positions include: one President, two Vice President, and one Secretary
  • The number of local leadership positions are determined by current leaders, and must be endorsed by all advisors. East Cobb Branch has one president, two vice presidents, one secretary
  • Members with 30+ qualified AYLUS volunteer hours are welcome to run for leadership position, and can call for congregation for leadership position election/re-election
  • Current leaders will select the seed candidates, older candidate has priority
  • Participated members and leaders will vote and fill the leadership position

Qualification to Secretary:

  Must be high school student in USA with grade 9 – 12 (including rising 9th grade)

    a) Must be member in local branch

    b) Must participant and complete 30+ inside hours in a service year (05/01 – 04/30)

    c) Can recruit new members

Qualification to Vice President:

  Must be high school student in USA with grade 9 – 12(including rising 9th grade)

    a) Must be member in local branch

    b) Must participant and complete 35+ inside hours in a service year (05/01 – 04/30)

    c) Can recruit new members

    d) Can initiate new projects with Advisor/President/Vice President/Secretary

Qualification to President:

  Must be high school student in USA with grade 9 – 12(including rising 9th grade)

    a) Must be member in local branch

    b) Must participant and complete 40+ inside hours in a service year (05/01 – 04/30)

    c) Post activity summary to branch’s home page

    d) Can recruit new members

    e) Can initiate new projects with Advisor/President/Vice President/Secretary

Responsibility of Advisor:

  1. Support and help branch leadership to initiate new project and recruit new members
  2. Help leadership to coordinate/organize/schedule activities
  3. Monitor and witness the activities, verify activity through picture, video, or other media channels
  4. Record AYLUS volunteer hours to Service Report Form for branch members, assign event advisor when advisor is absent. Service Report will be released every two months.

Term of leadership:

Each term is 1 year, and there is a maximum of 2 terms to all leadership positions. After finishing the term(s), he/she can rotate to other position, or be Outstanding Member as honor title at leadership band.

Termination of leadership:

If the leader is inactive for 6 months, or failed to complete 30+ AYLUS volunteer hours in one year, or he/she has no intention to hold the position, the position will be terminated. Active leader(s) and advisor(s) will release vacant position(s) to qualified member(s) for election/re-election.
