Description of the Baltimore Branch

The mission of our branch would be to provide a way to connect students with medical professionals and other healthcare workers from all over Baltimore and beyond. Doing so would allow students to learn from healthcare workers’ courage and perseverance, especially while they are fighting on the frontlines of our current pandemic. In order to accomplish our goals, we would interview medical professionals and invite them to speak at schools to share their experiences. We would also volunteer at hospitals and organize fundraisers and service projects. All funds from fundraisers would go to local hospitals and charities, while service projects might entail making face shields and masks for healthcare workers. We hope that by founding this branch we would be able to instill students with a sense of appreciation and understanding for the work healthcare professionals do to keep communities safe and healthy, as well as enable students to make an impact in their community through volunteer work and service projects.
