Greater Princeton AYLUS Promotes Youth Volunteerism at Chess Classes & Tournaments (65th) in March 2022

The Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) Sports Committee promotes youth volunteerism while continuing tournaments and a chess schedule with classes (Must-know: Midgame) in 2022. Before class, GPA gives a quick presentation about what AYLUS is and what we do for the community at AYLUS to the students.

We are holding a class where students learn many different middle game techniques. Eager chess players meet every week for a training camp to sharpen their mind in creativity and thinking in endgames. This week, we looked at a famous middle game position played by 2 grandmasters. Everyone had fun learning about theoretical middle game techniques, and enjoyed challenging their minds with hard puzzles.

GPA Volunteers: Sarah Yan (3/7, 3/14, 2 hrs), Erick Yan (3/7, 3/14, 2 hrs), George Chen (3/7, 3/14, 2 hrs).

GPA Chess Club’s next tournament will be hosted on Saturday, April 2nd, starting at 7PM EST. The time control will remain the same (G10+5) and everyone is welcome. All ages can come and compete with their skills and have fun playing games of chess.
