The Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) Sports Committee continues Tournaments and a new chess schedule with classes (Weekly Tactic Challenge).
GPA created a new chess class weekly through the end of the year. Each week, we go by the student’s skill level and solve puzzles such as checkmates in 2. For this week, we set up tactics based off of the student’s level, solving checkmates in two moves ranging from endgame positions to middlegame deep calculations. This weekly tactic training will help eager kids improve their envisioning and imaginative thoughts through chess.
ABC Chess’s next tournament will be a G10+5 swiss tournament held via chess.com, on Saturday January 8th (see flyer).
