On 12/3/21, Manhasset AYLUS participated in a fundraising event to help generate funds for our school organization, and our members visited the Nassau county museum of art in preparation for an exhibition. At the Barnes and Noble’s bookstore, we were given coupons which allowed a fraction of our purchases to support our school organizations. After we visited the bookstore, we drove over to the Nassau county museum of art, which has a special winter exhibition. We walked through the entire exhibition in preparation for some of our upcoming events, which would feature a tour of the facility and its exhibits. We walked around the whole perimeter of the exhibits, which took approximately 45 minutes. One of our members brought their pet lizard, who became a prime subject of attention and who participated in the photographs taken. Overall, this was a very important event to generate awareness and support for our school while also affording our members a bit of exercise during COVID-19.
The following members participated in this event:
Joslyn Liu (2 hours), Loretta Liu (2 hours), and Matthew Yang (2 hours)
Note: Lizard does not receive hours.
