Greater Princeton AYLUS Honors Firefighter Heroes (8th) in West Windsor Marking the 20th Anniversary of 9/11

The 20th anniversary of 9/11 is coming. The terrorist attacks killed 2,977 people and injured thousands at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Americans host commemorative events at all three sites on the anniversary of the attacks.

Firefighters and their families sacrifice a lot to save lives, who deserve our honor and respect, especially at this memorial moment. In September, the Greater Princeton branch of AYLUS (GPA) continued an event called “Meals from the Heart”. GPA members honor our firefighter heroes in our community in our unique way.

On September 7th, GPA members Sarah Yan (4 hrs), Erick Yan (4 hrs), and President Cassie Wang (1 hr) organized a “Meals from the Heart” event for local firefighters. More GPA members (1 hr for all), including Donna Nagorny, Pengyue Gao, Gina Shen, Xin Chen, Amber Yu, Fangyi Chen, Fiona Fan, Ricky Fan, Sophia Song, Pearl Song, Catherine Feng, Helen Chang, Cosner Yang, Kevin Zhao, and Allan You, joined the organizers for the event, hand delivering the meals to the West Windsor Township’s Princeton Junction Volunteer Firefighters (245 Clarksville Road, Princeton Junction, NJ).

More donation events are coming in September throughout the state of New Jersey!
